Account and Data

• Does Momently require an account or subscription?

  Momently does not require an account and does not use subscriptions.

• Where does Momently store my data?

  Momently stores your data on your device by default. You can choose to sync your data with iCloud in order to have a private backup in the cloud.

• Is there a way to export my data?

  You can choose to create a manual backup which you can use to restore your data to a newly installed version of Momently. To do this you will need to go to Settings > Data and choose Create a Momently Backup. This will generate a zip file that contains all of the information you have stored in Momently.

• How to restore my data from a Momently backup?

  After installing Momently from the App Store you will need to tap on Restore from backup and choose Momently Backup. This will prompt the Files picker and you will need to choose the Momently Backup zip file you generated before.

• Can I import data from other (journal) apps?

  Momently does support importing data from Instagram, Day One and Journey. Please let us know if there are any services you want Momently to support by contacting us at support@momently.app.
